EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Sports and Clubs
Kingsley
is a member of the Private School Athletic Association (PSAA) and
participates in a variety of league sports. Sports recently offered
include soccer, cross country running,
and
track & field. In addition to league sports, Kingsley School
has
offered a variety of after-school programs including Baseball, Skating, Running Club, Arts
Express, Science & Technology Clubs and the Webkinz Club.Field
Trips
Class excursions are organized to add a concrete dimension to a unit of study. Trips may be used to introduce a topic, demonstrate its relevance or to end a series of lessons on a theme. Teachers prepare the students for excursions through pre-planning and pre-trip activities.
Social Events
Kingsley parents and teachers organize several social events each school year. These have included the annual Kingsley Fun Fair, holiday parties, and dances. While these activities provide a fun and safe environment for parent, teacher, and student interaction outside of school, they do require great effort by organizing committees. Any parent willing to assist with or organize such events is asked to speak to the principal.
