At Kingsley, we recognize that every learner is unique.

Our Philosophy

We recognize that every learner is unique, and we see the value in each and every student. Our purposely small class sizes ensure that every teacher interacts and engages with every student every single day.

Our seamless day provides students with a balance of nurturing and academics. Our school community allows the child to be seen, heard, and respected every day. Through Inquiry, Discovery, Exploration, and Analysis, we help each individual engage in the learning process. This same philosophy is carried through all portions of the day by our teachers including our before- and after-care programs.

At Kingsley:

  • We listen and respond to voices, ideas and feelings.

  • We value honesty, kindness, inclusiveness and diversity.

  • We model and promote tolerance and mutual respect.

  • We value dedication and commitment.

  • We believe that it is the right and responsibility of everyone to ensure a safe community.

We do this through:

  • Shared learning

  • Heightened allergy awareness (Food sensitivities, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Allergies, nuts, dairy, gluten and more)

  • Student and parent support

  • Social impact and community: Epilepsy awareness day, Food drive, Olympic day, Terry fox run, Shoe drive, Adopt a family

  • Leadership teams demonstrating character curriculum where we value and promote kindness, fairness, respect, responsibility, perseverance, honesty, cooperation, teamwork, patience, sportsmanship and more.

Kingsley School Believe

Kingsley School is undeniably a place where there is an emphasis on community. We consider and understand the needs of each student in many different ways.

Kingsley School Discover

We discover and uncover greatness through individual, shared and applied learning. At Kingsley we incorporate our school trips and excursions to extend understanding.

Kingsley School Thrive

Growing, excelling, and tapping into each student’s unique potential while building confidence and focusing on individualized learning.

At Kingsley we believe in partnering with families. It is important that parents and guardians are well informed of the day-to-day activities, schedules and expectations. Communication is central to ensuring that students come prepared for learning each day. We share information with the community through monthly newsletters, weekly electronic bulletins, and message boards in common areas.

Ways parents can be involved with Kingsley:

  • School trips participation

  • Board and committees

  • Opportunities for in class involvement

  • Direct 1:1 access to teacher
